Ask Scout about your Insights data
Ask Scout an analytics question the way you would ask an analyst, and it queries your Insights data and answers from what it measured, scoped to a composition, a project map page, dynamic input values, or a pathname when you name one. It renders a chart alongside the numbers when the answer warrants it, and never estimates a figure. This is most useful for the questions the dashboard has no widget for.
The Insights dashboard
The Insights tab on your project gives you the project-wide view, with one date range control scoping the page and trends measured against the preceding period.
Widgets cover traffic, conversions, your best and worst performing pages, who is visiting, and how your running tests and personalizations are doing. The dashboard shows only the widgets your project has the data for.
Connect Insights to compositions and dynamic inputs
Events are attributed by URL out of the box. Pass the matched route and the dynamic input values into your composition, and each event is attributed to the composition that rendered it. A dynamic composition serving many URLs then reports as a single page, and its dynamic input values become a dimension you can filter and group by in the composition editor, on the dashboard, and in Scout. Availability
Insights is available on the Enterprise plan.
Reading the dashboard needs the View insights permission, and generating tracking tokens or configuring goals needs Manage insights. Contact your Uniform account representative to have it enabled.
