Uniform Search is a new add-on that indexes your Uniform content automatically, finds results by keyword and by meaning with AI, and puts the results that match each visitor first. Business users build search pages in Canvas with ready-made search components, and developers get a Search SDK and a Search API. With Uniform Search, you can have a search page up and running in 30 minutes or less.

Search that reads your Uniform project

• Select the entry types, composition types, asset types and locales to index, and Uniform Search does the rest
• When an author publishes or deletes content, the search index updates automatically
• Compositions get their URL from your project map, so each result links to the correct page
• Each locale gets its own search collection, with language-aware text search
• A re-index builds a new version next to the live one, so visitors can continue to search while it runs

• Extract the text from PDF, Word, Office and plain text files, from assets and from file links in your content
• Fetch records from your own HTTP API with a pull source: set the authentication, the pagination and a schedule, and test the connection before you save
• Or let your system send records to Uniform Search with a push source and its own push API key
• Add computed fields with a small TypeScript function, for example a price with tax, a label for a facet or a tier for the sort order

• If semantic search is not available, search continues with keyword results

Uniform Search is an add-on for Uniform plans. After Uniform activates Uniform Search for your team, open it from Tools > Uniform Search in the project navigation.
