Scout just got a lot smarter
Scout just got a lot smarter

Scout just got a major upgrade, with project-wide semantic search, bulk operations, reusable skills, MCP connectivity, stronger translation support, deeper coverage across Uniform, and new ways to control how edits are applied.

New capabilities

  • Project-wide semantic search: Find compositions, entries, assets, and patterns by meaning, not just by name. Search for things like "entries about coffee machines" or "images about food" and Scout will surface the right content.
  • Bulk operations: Run large-scale content tasks from a single prompt, like translating every blog entry, adding SEO descriptions to product pages, or refreshing content for GEO and AEO.
  • Choose how Scout applies edits: Use Autonomous to make changes immediately, or Review changes to queue edits for approval before anything is applied.
  • Skills: Teach Scout your team's repeatable workflows, like translation runbooks, SEO checklists, or landing page launch steps, so it can follow them consistently. You can add up to 10 skills per project.
  • Connect MCP servers: Bring tools like Linear, Notion, GitHub, third-party CMSs, and other MCP-compatible systems into Scout.
  • Improved translation support: Scout now handles translation more reliably across complex entries and compositions, including bulk translation for compositions, entries, and patterns, plus support for editing content in editions.
  • Uniform Context management: Scout can now help manage signals, quirks, intents, audiences, and enrichments directly.
  • Content modeling support: Scout can now create and update component and content type definitions, and create component, composition, and entry patterns.
  • Release-aware editing: Search, inspect, and edit content in the active release context.

Additional improvements

  • Upgraded chat experience: Scout now has a cleaner responsive sidebar, better attachment handling, URL support for public web content, and clearer visibility into tool calls and tasks.
  • Scout dashboard: Start working with Scout as soon as you enter your project, with a dedicated dashboard that gives you immediate access.
  • Smarter context awareness: Scout automatically picks up the open entity, current locale, and active release, so you can work in shorthand.
  • Improved Uniform MCP server: Expanded support gives developers broader control of Uniform from Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, and other MCP clients.
