Scout - Uniform's AI agent

Scout is Uniform's AI agent. They work alongside you inside the dashboard, understand your project — your content, content models, patterns, releases, and optimization setup — and act on your behalf, from creating and editing content to building content models, optimizing experiences, configuring personalization, and managing releases.

When Scout makes edits, they are assigned to you as the current user and integrated into your normal workflow. Scout works exclusively with draft content, ensuring you maintain full control over publishing decisions.

Getting started#

Prerequisites#

Ensure your team has AI credits available to use Scout.

Once credits have been allocated, you should see Scout available in the global navigation bar.

In case your team has no AI credits then reach out to your Account Representative from Uniform.

You can open Scout from several places:

• Project dashboard "Scout" tab: the project dashboard has a dedicated Scout tab with a prompt input, inspiration prompts, and recent threads. In canvas and entry editors, Scout automatically picks up the page's context (selected component, entity, locale) when you open them from the header.
• Header: at the right end of the global header, click the Scout avatar to open or close the docked Scout sidebar. In the middle of the header, click the "What are we working on today?" prompt bar to open a popover with a prompt input and your recent Scout threads — submitting a prompt or picking a recent thread continues the conversation in the docked sidebar.
• Component inserter: when adding a component to a slot, use the Scout input at the top of the "All Components" view to describe what you want, and Scout will pick the right component and fill it in.
• Component highlighter menu: while editing a composition, use the highlighter menu on a component to start an AI-assisted personalization or A/B test based on that component.
