Gettings started with Smartling integration

Adding the Smartling integration to your Uniform project allows you to simplify.

Before you start

You must have the following to complete this setup:

  • Smartling account with administrator access.
  • Uniform account with administrator access. If you don't already have one, you can request an account at https://uniform.dev/try.

To configure a Smartling connection, you will need to create an Account API Token :

  1. Log into the Smartling.
  2. Navigate to Account settings > Integration Management > API.
  3. Click Create Token in Account Tokens.
  4. Provide a name.
  5. Save User Identifier and Token Secret.

  1. In Uniform, open your project.

  2. Navigate to the Integrations tab.

  3. Scroll to the section Browse integrations.

  4. Click Smartling.

  5. Click Add to project.

    Once the integration is added you'll be prompted to enter some settings.

  6. Enter the required fields:

    FieldComments
    Account UIDSmartling Account UID that you can find under account settings
    User IdAPI v2.0 Tokens. User ID from Account Tokens
    User SecretAPI v2.0 Tokens. User Secret from Account Tokens
    Webhook URLURL with public domain that will receive Completed Job notifications from Smartling and import translations into Uniform. You can find example here.
    Smartling ProjectAfter you fill credentials and click Test credentials button, you will see the list of available projects in the list.

    When you fill in secrets, click Test credentials to verify credentials and load list of available projects.

  7. Map Smartling locales to Uniform locales, after you select Smartling Project

  8. Click Save.
