Audiences

This section covers how to configure, manage, and use audiences to classify visitors.

An audience is a major classification of a visitor into an archetype or persona, for example "Developers", "Marketers", or "Jen the wholesaler." Audiences can be made up of any combination of signals, enrichments, intents, and other audiences, which allows them to become broad archetypes.

A visitor is not a member of an audience. Instead, information about the visitor and the visitor's actions contribute to a score. For example, if the visitor has triggered a certain signal, that might add 10 to the a specific audience score. Personalization might be applied as long as the visitor's score for this audience does not exceed 25.
